Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. Career Simulator has no accounts and works offline. Game Center, which is optional, needs a connection to post a score.

How do I start over?

In Simplified, tap Restart in the header. In Real Life, tap Leaderboard and then Start over. A run is not saved when you close the app, so a new run begins from the start screen.

Why does Simplified have no score?

Simplified is a tutorial. You keep all your pay and have no living costs or tuition, so its numbers cannot be compared with a Real Life run. Only Real Life runs are scored and reach the leaderboards.

Where do I see the leaderboard?

In a Real Life run, tap Leaderboard in the header. It lists the ten best scores for the country you chose and marks your own place. You need to be signed in to Game Center; if you are not, the screen says so. Simplified has no leaderboard.

My score is not on the leaderboard.

You need to be signed in to Game Center on your device. The score (net worth divided by age) is posted when a Real Life career ends at 65, or when you tap Start over during a run. Every country has its own leaderboard because money differs from country to country.

What is the Advice button?

It opens the Career Advisor. It works with taps alone. On devices with Apple Intelligence you can also type to it; that runs on your device and nothing is sent anywhere. If Apple Intelligence is unavailable, or does not support your language on your device, the advisor tells you and the taps still work.

Which languages are supported?

English, German, French, Italian, Japanese and Ukrainian. The app follows your device language.
